Sheer iridescent fabrics
Thick elastic, or an elastic belt with sheer iridescent fabrics gathered and sewn poofy.
Top part of it will be tucked up under the bustier.
(Will look more like a one piece dress).
For the big wrapped candies, styrofoam balls/discs will be used covererd in the same fabric used for the skirt.
Ice cream cone will be a styrofoam cone cut in half lengthwise. Then covered in gold lame with dark chocolate puffy paint for the lines. This will be the same technique used for the lower left cupcake.
Metallic/glitter fabric and pillow stuffing will be used for the ice cream scoops.
I will make a mini cupcake shaped pillow for the cupcake top.
For all the other candies, I have many various differant and eclectic ideas.
Jewels,rhinestones,glitter felt,velvets, satins etc...
For the blue ruffle on the top of the dress I will sew gathered satin.
Candycane swirls will be made of red glitter felt or pipe cleaners.
Attatchment of decorations will include the following methods:
Sewing, glue, velcro...different techniques work better for different parts of the costume.
